So typical, but mistaken. If All State had done its homework it would have found out that WM did not rate its mortgage packages and that another firm had gone in and hand selected these mortgages and rated them then sold them as a package. WM was required to make these loans and yes they found a market for them but as I recall it was Paulson and Company buying these loans rating them and selling them.
