Todd Kort, principal analyst in Gartner Dataquest's Computer Systems and Peripherals Group, comes online to talk about the HP-Compaq merger. Kort covers the personal computer industry, focusing on PDAs and Web terminals. He has worked in analytical positions within the computer industry since 1983. Before joining Gartner, he spent three years at Compaq as manager of worldwide market intelligence. He has managed the market research function at The NPD Group/INTELECT, Ashton-Tate Corp., and Future Computing. In addition, he managed the computer R&D group of Tokyo-based Citizen for eight years.
