Not believing!! Superdawg on Milwaukee Ave at Devon has been an Institution since my youth. My Nieces and Nephews take their kids there today! A GREAT DAWG, in a city of great Chicago-style Vienna Hot Dogs.
I remember my family stopping there in the late 40's, on our way to and from a family cottage in Diamond Lake. And as a kid at the YMCA Summer Day Camp, we would take the CTA streetcar to the end of the line to go to the Forest Preserves that was nearby Superdawg. As was Whealan Pool, another Chicago institution!!!
Went there often thru youth and until I left Chicago for College. have been there often over the years on visits. I will visit family in April and plan on going back to get a Superdawg!!
I can't believe Gene & Jude's can be better!!! I will query my sister who lives not far from there, and report back. Chicago Hot Gogs are a serious matter! lolol
\Anyone want to talk about Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches??????? BTW, a case of that gem food is my annual gift from my sister!!! And recently got a box of Chicago Vienna Hot Dogs from a friend! Good eats...
