That is pretty much the point of my post. The science should precede the dollars, unless you are dealing with gullible politicians or US congress, but then I repeat myself.

The question "Hype or hope" becomes a false dichotomy if the expectations can be met with scientific study and the reality shows that carbon can be permanently sequestered while producing a new fuel source. Without the science, it is hype AND hope.
