(question #1) We won't go quite as high with the first bird. We are engineering for flight between 50 - 60 thousand feet. Most of the operating conditions at that altitude will be nearly the same as at 65,000 feet. The temperature remains a comfy -67.9F.
Tim Huff settled on the 50 - 60K foot altitude because we can build a smaller, less costly test bed. Your money hasn't gone to waste with this vehicle. It has saleability in other areas because it can fly at any altitude up to its pressure celing. http://ragingbull.lycos.com/mboard/boards.cgi?board=SNWR&read=2318
(question #2)..(commercial launch will be subject to FAA approval..see http://www.access5.aero/access5_custom/faq.html Once these tests are completed in April and May, we will immediately begin the construction of the full commercial vehicle that is scheduled to launch late in the fourth quarter of this year. We will launch and recover Sanswire One multiple times over a 60 day period. http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=5735427
