Can you explain how the Government could confiscate your or my gold/silver? How would they know where it is? There is no record of my purchases or where it is stored(hidden). I suspect the same goes for most people. So how are they going to find it? I live in the desert, 55 miles from the nearest town which you've probably never heard of anyway. I've got 40 acres of mesquite, rattlesnakes and illegals passing through. They're welcome to come look for it.
