I am going to play the devil's advocate here and go against some of the sentiment on this board. Not because I know or even believe these things to be true but because I believe that things can go very sour very fast when negativity is broad and assumptions are unchallenged. Let's take a deep breath and explore some possibilities rather than assume the worst.
I will preface this with an old saying:
"Nature abhors a vacuum".
When there is a vacuum of data, curious people will interject ideas into that vacuum in an effort to make sense of things. This kind of thing is a basis for subjects like logic...but I digress.
I do not believe that all on this board who have expressed skepticism or negative statements are "bashers." I believe we have a number of upset investors and I sympathize with them. Because I have very little money to invest and every dollar means something to me. Right now I have more money in KATX than in anything else, which sadly isn't saying much. Like many others I would like to make some money on this stock.
Alright, here's some ALTERNATE theories of what could be happening behind the scenes, all total speculation.
0) Rusty Ridge assays were delayed in getting to the lab and then at the lab but the company now has them and is prepping to release them. The company wasn't sitting on the results before but they are now.
1) Rusty Ridge drilling results are good. Not spectacular, but good. REEs have been found in a quantity that look promising. There's some copper too but KATX management has decided to focus on REEs for this property - as with only 2 holes they are showing more promise with REEs (doesn't mean there isn't IOCG there, it's just not showing as strongly in the 2 holes and they can only go to investors with those 2 holes right now).
2) Because this subject of REEs is literally on fire, KATX management is not really sure how to present the data to current and prospective investors. Afterall, the 22 Dec PR seems to have been rushed out in an effort to generate excitement about REEs but it was poorly presented and caused a selling panic. They are consulting with their new IR firm and perhaps other experts in this field.
3) Ken or a representative of KATX has been in Vancouver this week for the conference of miners and the Newfoundland & Labrador government mining agencies and may have made some important contacts including maybe someone who knows about REEs well enough to be brought on board.
4) Having been burned badly in the past by financiers, KATX management is trying to figure out a way to capitalize on Rusty's good results without having to go cap in hand to those same or similar financiers. They are hot on the trail of new financing but it's complicated. If they tip their hand they could get another raw deal. This is where the attorneys, accountants and consultants come in.
5) KATX is aware that one or more big investors (financiers or someone else) is offloading their shares through HDSN at the end of every single day like absolute clockwork. Believe me if we have noticed this, they have. KATX management has decided to delay news ON PURPOSE to let the bloodsucking financiers/mystery seller sell off all their shares for pennies so they don't get to reap the benefits of the increased pps the coming news will bring. KATX management knows the true and dedicated longs will not sell their shares while the financiers and short term investors will panic and do so. So let the shareprice slide a bit and suffer the jeers and accusations knowing that this is all going to turnaround faster than anyone expects.
6) Additionally, the company is desperately trying to push through the BVIG disto to award their loyal shareholders and would love to be able to time this with the Rusty results to create the most bang for everyone's buck. This is seemingly simple but is requiring more time, effort and money than KATX management expected.
Alright, all the above is total speculation but I am putting it out there because I don't believe anyone really knows what is going on and a lot of conclusions are being drawn that could be totally wrong.
Whatever is going on behind the scenes, I hope we are all in for some good news and soon.
