Bingo. The problem is how do they deliver those air shares? That is why there is a freeze by the DTCC. Who will be forced to buyin?
You can rest assured that the prosecuted perps do not have the money. That is why some brokers will not allow buys/sells, since they may be liable for allowing trading to continue.
Someone has to deliver those shares, question is who.
That is why there is such panic when a co, attempts to legitimately reduce the SS, after this happens.
I dare say we are going to see a lot more of this in the coming months.
