Problem with discovering a bunch of natural gas is this. As things stand already most of the oil companies are burning off more gas than they capture and ship out. They can keep the prices up on an illusion of having a higher demand than supply this way. My cousin was telling me how they only capture maybe 20% of the gas they release and then burn off the rest. The oil companies make pennies to the dollar vs what the gas companies make selling to the user. In this scenario it is cheaper for them to just burn it off than sell it because of the CHEAP bulk prices. Its funny how its more profitable to butn it off for the oil companies because of the way gas is traded.

I have no clue whats going on so don't listen to me.
