quilix: The time statistics in the comment you reference pertain to ex parte patent appeals arising from rejections sustained by the USPTO's internal Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences (BPAI).

Those are specialized cases different than the others handled by the CAFC. Below Is one individual's summary of the average time frame from oral argument to decision for recent precedential cases, as noted his study came up with an average of 132.7 days



"However, in an effort to gain some insight, I have performed an analysis (below) of all of the precedential cases decided from September 1st, 2010 to the present. There were 35 decisions that had a corresponding oral argument.

Here is what I found:

The average elapsed time from oral arguments to a CAFC decision was 132.7 days."
