Again, this is no "problem". Look up the definition of intellectual property. Then look at intellectual property claimed by AAPL. Intellectual property isn't a building, it isn't equipment, it isn't manufacturing. It is the result of research, design and development. How do you assign a value to it? If it generates marketable products, then it is worth something. 6 million did you say? What was the revenue just last quarter?

Design engineers get paid, what they produce is supposed to be worth something. The proof is in the pudding, or in the revenues that are generated.
