Eastside and westside residents woke up to icy conditions.. now beginning to thaw slowly this morning. Temperatures will be above freezing in all locations by 8 am...except for the Columbia River Gorge. Gorge residents will not see much of a thaw from snow, ice and sleet until around noon.. then a slow thaw into the afternoon. Rain will be back in the gorge by evening.
For valley locations, south winds will increase.. and the easterly flow will shut down by midday. High temperatures will jump to 50 degrees by late afternoon. No worries about ice tonight.. with lows mid 40s and rain at times. Rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week...with highs generally near 50 degrees.
