Exactly.. I never heard investors bitching that Apple didn't let the shareholders know they had been working on a phone for several years.. Once it was announced, you didn't hear Apple come out with sales estimates either. I don't recall them telling everyone that they might open up Best Buy, RadioShack or Wal-Mart to sell that gadget either..
Some things are kept secret so they can get things established before the competition has a chance to even consider the idea.. If all of a sudden, SWITOW stands/stores/kiosks are all over airports, bus terminals, and hotels/tourist spots, then it doesn't give anyone else a chance to jump the gun on them and grab rights to sell and advertise at these places.. Sometimes, investors just need to let the company run its business and be happy knowing the management is very competent and knows how to make $$$..
