My name is Bob, I'm a new poster (relatively) to this board. This is the first and only board I have ever posted on. I was honorably discharged from Norton AFB in San Bernardino in 75' as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist...don't ask me, it's been too long. I am posting this to help clear up some questions regarding the trip Sanswire One will take to get from SB Airport (Norton) to Edwards AFB. I have lived in S. California all my life except my service time. I was born in Long Beach but went to school and grew up in Huntington Beach, Ca. I now live in Garden Grove which is about three miles south of Disneyland.
Edwards AFB is about 100 miles from my house, driving, north and slightly east. Norton is about 65 miles driving, and north but a lot more east. If you were to fly directly to Edwards from Norton ie: as the crow flies, it would be right around 50 miles not much more or less. I didn't do this just by memory, I got out the map book (Thomas Guide) and measured it. So there you have it. Whether or not they will be able to fly Sanswire One anywhere near a straight line...I don't know.

Bob
