Obama and Bernanke can use some lessons:
PANAMA CITY, (Reuters). "Panama's economy would grow this year to 9%, driven largely by the implementation of mega projects as a public investment plan, the Government said today, Sunday, President Ricardo Martinelli.
For 2010, the government estimates that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) would have grown between 6.5% and 7%, a strong acceleration on the 3.2% expansion recorded in 2009.
The Central American nation resisted the recent global financial crisis better than many economies in the region and is having a special impetus to investment in the expansion project of the Panama Canal, estimated at 5 billion 250 million dollars.
"Panama will be one of the most dynamic economies in Latin America with a growth between 8% and 9%, placing over Peru and Chile, so far the leaders in the region," said the president before the National Assembly deputies
