Everyone seems to worry about the jet stream a little too much. If you go up, straight into the air, all the way to the stratosphere, you are not always going to go through the jet stream. All the jet stream is, is contrasting warm and cold air-that is what causes the high winds. The strongest winds from a jet are in the jet max, which is not very big. The stratellite can be launched whithout even going through the jet stream. You can go up 30,000 feet and not go through wind speeds higher than 60mph.
