eamonn these Anti-Trusted Computing people don't............
understand the devastation and harm that can come from Digital Identity Theft and/or Digital Terrorism/Piracy.
Like you said these anti-Trusted Computing activists are very young and feel they have nothing to lose and everything to gain from COMPLETE DIGITAL FREEDOM at this stage in their lives. Typically, these individuals do not hold responsible jobs and/or have significant assets that can be compromised, vandalized or wiped out.
The Northeast USA blackout in 2003 illustrates the havoc that can be generated by digital chaos. Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the country. Terrorists dream about being able to tap into our national security info grid. Inventors and artists are being raped by digital pirates. And the examples go on and on.
The world is depending more and more on the digital network. Hence, it is imperative to restore the trust in the network. Without this trust, the digital network will eventually degrade.
Ironically, the complainers ought to be the first to support Trusted Computing because they are such AVID COMPUTER USERS.
and so it goes.
