Yes I agree things have changed since the early 90's. More oil has been found, but then again we are using it up at a much higher rate now. The key to your comments is economics. Where is the line drawn where oil is not a feasable natural resouce anymore? As for the rest of the natural resources, could you do something about gold prices. All the experts have got me loaded up on gold stocks yet they still languish behind.

Yet remains the answer for airlines. What do they do when the 'cheap' fuel is no longer available?
