You can read the patent application here:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=ZTKiAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4&source=gbs_overview_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false

As you can see it's state-of-the-art technology and I challenge you to come up with anything nearly as sophisticated.

Like I said, next week, on the 28th, it will have a patent number. No more "patent pending" terminology or anything like it. We will have nationwide and international protection for CSpace as the application has been scrutinized and approved by the Korean International Patent Office (KIPO), a respected international authority on technology patents.

The 3D world isn't as great and forward-thinking as you make it out to be. In fact it's stagnating at the moment as all the major electronics players are locked in on the 3D-on-2D competition. If you've been paying attention you'll have noticed a couple small, independent research teams working on tech similar to our own, but they're just getting started and are decades away from full commercialization.

3DICON has been at this for several years, CSpace in particular for the past 5 or so, and we've overcome significant hurdles unique to static-space, volumetric 3D, namely how to deal with the massive amounts of data you need for true 3D. That was solved with Pixel Precision coupled with the proprietary Virtual Moving Screen algorithm which is covered in this patent and another currently up for review.

You might be interested to know that the patent we're talking about was initially rejected because the examiner believed it to be too similar to the work of Dr. Elizabeth Downing of 3DTL in Sunnyvale, CA. She gave up on the technology, believing it would be too difficult and expensive to commercialize, this according to her partner whom I spoke with on the phone several months ago. This person even had the audacity to suggest that 3DICON was infringing on their patent. Well, we now know that's not the case since our technology has the full backing of the US Patent and Trademark office. They and their shitty, obsolete tech are being left in the dust.

I agree with Mr. Keating, that it is a significant milestone. The technology is achievable, especially and only because of recent advancements in the world of nanotechnology and the field of materials science. It's also a significant thing to venture capitalists; concept protection is very important.

Now we just need that within-reach prototype.
