It is a pattern of behaivior by the CEO and the company. The headline says "files" which means it is already filed. Yet the articles says "is filing". Classic bait and switch. At some, point these types of things will need to be explained. I looked at many known legit companies and can't find a single press release that deployed these bait and switch tactics.

JBII will never go anyways as long as they keep pulling stuff like this.

310 Holdings Inc. Files Patent Application for Plastic2Oil Technology
NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario, July 9, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 310 Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:TRTN) today announces it is filing a patent application to protect the Company's Plastic2Oil process and technology.

Re:<"Wrong. The 2009 PR specifically states it WILL file a patent in the future.">

Re:<"I admit that the headline says "files" but the body makes it clear that they had not yet.">

Here's the link for anyone who wants to make their own decision:

http://www.globenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?d=168636

It says, "...it is filing a patent application..." in the text.

Yes, that certainly be construed as "in the future" but it could also be construed as being in the process. What did he mean? Well, the headline said "is filing" which lends weight to the latter but you "admit" that the reason is only that it's confusing.

My experience with press releases is that it takes wordsmithing and effort to keep a double, ambiguous meaning throughout the entire press release. It's invariable intentional. It's rare that the person writing a press release is so inept yet so unfortunate that the meaning stays entirely ambiguous throughout.

He could have said "will file" like you said in your post if that's what he really meant. Simple, no? That begs the question of what exactly happened for Mr. Bordynuik to put out that press release in the first place since nothing concrete happened--he just got a wild itch and thought he would publicly share his thoughts?
