awk...You are absolutely correct. All Wave software is pre-installed, and it is quite easy to use. When you start out with the Dell ControlPoint Security Manager, one click, and you have the Wave Embassy Security Center.
The wizards to go through the entire process of enabling the TPM, taking ownership of the TPM, securing Windows login (primarily if you have biometric or smartcard), initializing a Master Password, and then setting up the TPM archive location. It is like magic.
I especially like the Master Password feature. Sort of like a skeleton key that does everything.
Here are some screen shots to take you through it.
Dell ControlPoint System Overview
Clicking on the Security Manager tab gives you the following. Note that the TPM is "turned on"
Clicking on the manage security button brings up....
Click on the Settings button next to the TPM, you get .....
Clicking on the Embassy Home tab reveals...
On the "About" Tab, you get information on the installed packages
What you don't see is Private Information Manager, or PIM. It is the most useful (in my opinion) package for managing all of my logon IDs and passwords. The reason you don't see them is because this machine is a 64-bit machine.
I'm happy to address any questions or comments that you may have. Fire away.
