Rocky...I agree with Sam about the private board...in fact I'll take it one step farther. I'm serious on this so don't think I'm being sarcastic, OK? How about establishing a private board where you are the only one that can post? You can monitor this board and/or RB for issues you chose to respond to or for that matter that could be your workspace to post on issues that seem relevant stemming from press releases or SEC filings. That seems like an excellent way of controling the useless chatter from your standpoint. On public forums, I don't believe you'll ever get the control you're looking for. Even if you did have the control you would still end up devoting endless hours doing the dirty work. From a communications standpoint this system would be called a simplex channel (communication in one direction only like public band am/fm broadcasts) as opposed to duplex (communications in both directions at the same time) or half-duplex (comms on the same channel but only one direction at a time like push-to-talk walkie talkies).
You've seen how posts by Vern and Mistress P are ones that people look for. I think your posts would achieve the same attention and stimulate discussion. Do you really care what standards others use to filter through posts?
I don't blame you at all for being overwhelmed here and coming to the conclusion "It ain't worth it!" I'll add my thanks for your contributions to keeping the GTEL story straight. Best of fortune to you in all your endeavors.
