I took a course in P & F charting about 30 years ago and don't remember, but it all has to do with the breakout being double, triple, or quadrouple breakout and how many boxes the stock went up on the previous breakout. I'm sure that stockcharts must explain this somewhere on their site. As far as time goes, that is one thing that P & F will not tell you. For now, I just use their price projections.
