Also, what prevents Magnetron from frequent on/off operation was heat from the surge of starting current every time you turn on the magnetron. That results in shortening life span of magnetron.

However, the current Wanderport setup uses cold water as its cooling system, which would be much much more efficient than air cooling system (due to higher heat transfer coefficient of water) in a normal microwave oven setup. When you knock down the heat issue, to me, that would be close to eliminate the limitation or rule of thumb of how often you could turn on/off the magnetron. That is my take. Anyhow, please read the patent description and see if you may reach the same conclusion. ^^
