You do understand there is gold there - right? And more than likely mountains of it. And that is what the next PR will say.
The problem with most of these pennystock oil/gas and mining plays are they are all talk and no action. There is more money to be made and a whole lot easier to just put out PR's than actually doing any mining.
Do you really believe the guys involved in this company know the first thing about mining? They do know about PR's and hiring a few people to give the appearance they have gold in them ther' hills. But that's about it.

I am sort of curious about how ethical and legal it is for people like VanErt and Cousins to make deals like these knowing full well there won't be any real mining happening. They accept shares and money in return.Do they know what is going on? I can't believe they wouldn't.

I remember a guy that John Beebe (PHGI) bought a mine from and this is how he advertised his mine:

There are mining claims for sale of EBAY for cripes sake.

Mining scams have been going on for years. There are gold scams that actually go a bit further to convince people they are the real deal:
Remember the Bre-X scam?
------------

The State of Wyoming has a webpage that talks about Gold mining scams - not specifically stocks - but does show the lengths a scammer would go to "prove" a mine exists:

Precious Metals
Gold, silver, and other precious metals have always been popular operating areas for con artists and shady dealers. The private or skeptical nature of many individuals who buy precious metal investments is a benefit to the crooks. Promoters typically claim that the precious metal they are selling is sure to go up in value due to increased demand, world conflict, or some other economic or political factor.
Purchasers usually receive a receipt as evidence of ownership, but not the metal itself. Investors never actually see their holdings and will be given many reasons why delivery is not practical. After the initial buy the salesperson will likely send occasional information or call with "spot news updates" urging investment of more money. Eventually the con artists close shop and disappear with the money.

Gold Mine
WESCON, a gold mining scam from Las Vegas, Nevada, sold interests in alleged gold bearing ore deposits. The location of these deposits was in a desert valley outside of Las Vegas. The promoters in this case purchased mining equipment and moved it to the site. Investors were invited to tour the mine site. They saw machines processing piles of supposedly gold bearing ore. To make the deal more attractive the promoters let the investors increase their investment by paying just 10% down and signing a promissory note. Investors paid thousands for what amounted to driveway gravel!

Gold mine scams are still around! Promoters offer huge profits to be made in mining operations. One particular scam centers on reprocessing mine tailings. While money can be made reprocessing tailings, proceed with caution because fortunes are seldom made in this endeavor, regardless of promoter claims.
Other gold schemes involve new, secret, "black box" technology and recovery methods. Dirt goes into a "black box." Gold supposedly comes out because a secret formula, allegedly using chemistry investors would not understand, makes the process yield precious metals. Salespersons claim that using new methods can reap huge profits. In these cases it's hard to actually know what is fact or fiction...

Did Hainey bring this "genious" deal to SUGO with the idea it would be mined for gold or mined for PR's? I suspect the latter.

Ever hear that quote - A gold mine is a hole in the ground with a LIAR on top? (Mark Twain?) Well think about that when you read the next PR.
