DLeo, for cheap commissions, you might want to try LOWTRADES. Though they don't give you 20 freetrades a month like Freetrade, they're only $5 bucks in and $5 out...$10 round trip. PLUS - there is no minimum amount to open a cash account. Not sure how much to open a margin account for day-trading .

I'm thinking of opening an account there, but have to find out if they allow day-trading like Freetrade does, or if they require minimum balances.

Dave has an account there and says they're pretty good, although he mostly uses Freetrade too.
