News for 'EGSR' - (Energas to Start Drilling 4th Well in Kansas)
OKLAHOMA CITY, Mar 14, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Energas Resources, Inc.
(OTCBB:EGSR) is pleased to announce that a drilling rig has become
available
ahead of schedule and is moving in today to drill the 4th well in the Rock
Creek
Prospect, Kan. The drilling company, Duke Drilling of Wichita, Kan., will
rig up
today and plans to spud (begin drilling) the well tomorrow. This well,
named the
Boomer Gates #1-19, is designed to test the Mississippi Chat and Dolomite
formations at approximately 4,600 feet. The operator is expecting to
finish
drilling in 8-10 days. Energas owns a 16.75% working interest in this
prospect.
Although the 3rd well proved to be a non-commercial edge well, it provided
valuable geologic information that leads company management to believe
this 4th
well could be in the heart of the field. The Rock Creek Prospect covers
approximately 2,750 acres and is located next to the Stohrville Field,
which has
produced over 11 BCF of natural gas and over 1 million barrels of oil.
