Do the math. 1 TCF gas at $4 per mcf brings in $4 billion in revenue. 168 million barrels of oil at 85 per bbl brings in over $14 billion in revenue.

The 1 TCF conversion to 168 million bbls is only a conversion based on BTU content. It says nothing about the real value of oil vs gas.

So, as you can, oil is over 4 times more valuable than an equivalent BTU content of gas. It is why everyone prefers oil to gas. Combine that with the fact that gas is harder to store and ship and then you can see the real difference.
