You are absolutely right. I'm purely speculating. I'm just saying what if it is a certain US bank, and what if there is dirt? Only the key people involved know what may come out. If they know what will come out, and if it is proof, then a proactive move might be to try to make things right.

No one knows the bank in question. No one knows whether anything will actually surface. Imagine if it does.
