Homeland Security's goal is to prevent terrorist attacks of any kind against the citizens of the United States. Their job is to find the terrorist and stop them. But the rules say that they cannot use profiling in any way to accomplish their goal.
100% of the terrorist fit a certain profile. They are 100% male, of a certain religion, of a certain ethnic background, and between certain ages. But the rules say that Homeland Security MUST expend as much money, time, and effort examining an 80 year old grandma on a walker or a 3 year old little girl, as it does on the man who fits the profile. Under no circumstances can Homeland Security do anything that would open it up to the charge of "profiling".
Here is why profiling is considered so dangerous.
1. It could cause Homeland Security to focus on innocent people who fit the profile.
2. At some point profiling could lead to abuse. It could actually cause some to focus on those who fit 100% of the profile and some of them will be innocent but made to feel bad or singled out.
So as a result, even people who do not come close to the profile of 100% of terrorist must suffer the SAME scrutiny, focus, and possible abuse as those who fit the profile 100%. In the minds of the powers that be it is only fair. In the mind of any rational person it is lunacy.

What in the world is going on here? How much absolute stupidity can the American people take before they rise up and say they have had enough. WHO on this green earth is making up these mindless rules. Common sense is no longer common at all. Our country has become a laughing stock to the rest of the world on every front. Obama and his crackpot czars are the rule makers and they must be "one and done".
