As I believe you have a high opinion of "MistressPhaedra", what is your opinion of her response to a question I posed to 'her' last night re: the launch date?

5cents: The prototype launch date has been confused with the prototype completion date. March 25, 2005 is the sheduled completion date. On that date Sanswire One will be ready to be inspected by the FAA. Once the FAA has made their inspection, it will be inflated with helium. The first flights will be made on a tether, in compliance with FAA regulations. Once controllability has been satisfactorily demonstrated to the satisfaction of the FAA, a ferry permit will be issued to take the S-1 up to Edwards AFB. At this writing, it is anticpated that a pilot will be aboard purely as a safety feature to satisfy the FAA. Essentially, the S-1 can fly on its' own to Edwards....the pilot is there in the event of any unanticipated eventuality. In all likelihood, Vern Koenig will be the pilot.
