I wish I'd saved that old article. It was interesting. The fellow never bought anything new until he'd made a decision to eliminate something from his portfolio. He kept a portion of the total in money market funds to cover errors of judgement and to do downward averaging. I can't remember if there was any more detail than that - too long ago. My well aged cortex has let the details slip away. (obviously to make room for even better info!)
Here in Port Washington, our city is aging well. Our one local brewery moved out of town, unfortunately. They made an excellent Brown Ale. Not quite like a well aged Port, but worthy of sipping.
