SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 2005--
The California State Lottery kicks off a statewide
campaign March 6-12, 2005 that raises awareness about the resources
available for individuals and their families affected by problem
gambling. "This is part of a national effort to increase public and
professional awareness of this issue," said Chon Gutierrez, Interim

Problem Gambling (CCPG) and the State of California Department of
Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP). The statewide campaign includes
public service announcements that will air on television, radio and be
available on the California State Lottery's website,

signs will be available in both English and Spanish. Also featured on
the Lottery's website will be links to NCPG, CCPG and ADP.
Additionally, more than 18,000 Lottery retailers will have brochures
