WESTMONT RESOURCES WMNS.pk -- 'dd' page
seen a three day run form yesterday when some sent me a PM on WMNS so I watched it from about 1pm to the close. watched it closed strong and green for the third day in a row.
its been a slow and steady climb with healthy intra day consolidation which is healthier for the more sustainable run up
the ‘story side’ on this stock is getting better and better each month. They released a great pr about a new product that is eco-friendly in its recovery system for gas and oil

this is a solid play IMHO and the chart is supporting so much more out of it. When it breaks 11c its wide open and off to the races…. These last few green days have been on decent volume days, wait until it gets a breakout volume day!
Below is some ‘dd’ I put together on the company; links, info, charts, etc.
I think you will see the same short-to-long term potential in this play that I do.

Corporate Overview
Westmont Resources Inc is an independent oil and gas exploration and development company focused on the exploration of long-lived, low risk natural gas and oil properties. Our current operations are centered on the emerging Marcellus and Chattanooga Shale Play in the Appalachian Basin and in the vicinity of other major oil company discovery wells that are reported as having an initial production rate of 3.9 MMCFD and sustained production in the 300-400MCF daily rates.
Westmont Resources Inc has acquired the rights to 92 existing well in Scott and Morgan Counties of Tennessee that cover an area of approximately 30,000 acres. Within this block the Chattanooga Shale lies at a depth between 2,000 and 4,000 feet below surface and range in thickness of over 250 feet. Most of the acquired wells suspended drilling operations well above the top of the Chattanooga Shale.
Westmont employs sophisticated techniques to wring more production out of the untapped reserves beneath existing wells. The company intends to re-enter these wells and deepen them for vertical completion in the shale by using the most advanced technologies in both incremental drilling and horizontal drilling linked with modern fracturing methods. The Company believes that it can be a major player in the region and capitalize on one of the largest oil and gas finds in the world.
Projects Overview
Development One: Acquire Existing and Wells and Leases
Appalachian Basin
Initially, Westmont Resources Inc is focusing its attention on the Appalachian Basin in Tennessee. Tennessee's Appalachian Basin is a topographic feature capped with approximately 600 feet of Pennsylvania Sandstone. Oil and gas production from wells in Westmont Resources Inc's area of interest comes from the Monteagle Limestone, Fort Payne Limestone, Chattanooga Shale, Trenton-Black River and Know groups.
Westmont has initiated a regional geologic study to identify prime leasehold areas along with the identification of passed up production in existing wells in the Appalachian Basin. Through this process, the company has identified several acquisition targets operating in both the Marcellus Shale and Chattanooga Shale basins.
Recently, the Company completed the acquisition of a 70% working interest in 92 oil and gas wells, covering more than 30,000 acres, as an initial entry into the region. The company’s leaseholds properties are located in Scott and Morgan Counties in Tennessee, which is comprised of 92 independent leasehold permits. The independent leasehold permits are being recorded with the County and the Bureau of Land Management.
Permian Basin
The Company recently signed a letter of intent to Joint Venture within Eddy County, New Mexico in the Permian Basin. The Company's JV partner has acquired the oil & gas rights of 7,800 acres of leased land for exploration and further development. The project potential is currently estimated at 3 MMBbls of oil equivalent.
The Permian Basin is a sedimentary basin largely contained in the western part of the U.S. state of Texas and the southeastern part of the state of New Mexico. It is so named because it has one of the world's thickest deposits of rocks from the Permian geologic period.
The Permian Basin gives its name to the large oil and natural gas production of this area. Total production for that region up to the beginning of 1993 was over 14.9 billion barrels.
Williston Basin
The Company has signed a letter of intent to Joint Venture with a successful oil & gas exploration operator that has 65,000 acres under lease and over 30 years of drilling experience in the Williston Basin.
Development Two: Provide Cutting Edge Technology Services to Other Operators
The company’s acquisition targets are wells and leases not adequately optimized by their previous operators. By applying cutting-edge technologies to the development of these wells, Westmont Resources Inc is in a position to not only acquire and exploit shut-in gas wells and those wells whose profitability has declined, but, to offer this expertise to the market at large.
Additionally, revenue will be generated by maximizing production for other producers. Whether dealing with traditional oil and gas wells, “fracing” shale or exploiting the “heavy oil & tar sands” fields. Westmont is well-positioned to maximize production of existing wells by these technologically advanced engineering practices and providing this expertise to others through direct participation and through licensing programs.
