Vinny is possibly the worst mobster EVER!

After learning that John Pettit passed away the other day, I did a search on Vinnie and up came the insurance fraud site. Immediately I thought it was because of the fires. But now we know that Vinnie IS allegedly capable of insurance fraud. Interesting huh?

If you recall, Pettit was the reason Vinnie went before the grand jury.

He maintained his innocence and was never indicted.

Pettit was unseated in 2007 and was last seen in public in May when he was called to testify at a homicide hearing.

Pettit died Saturday at the age of 75 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Pettit, the longest serving District Attorney in Washington County history has been the subject of an Federal investigation for over four years. Chief amongst the potential charges are that Pettit arranged for preferential treatment in exchange for political and possible monetary favors.

Speculation has settled on a group of individuals including well known private detective Michael Tarbuck, Car Dealer Vince LoCastro and a series of well known prostitutes and drug dealers.
