When a company starts blaming its critics for its own problems, that's the beginning of the end. It is very difficult to see how screwing up a dividend payment is anyone's fault but management's.
And this...
Shareholders have reported that non-associated, non-affiliated third party entities have been recorded as paying the cancelled dividend for and on behalf of 8000inc into shareholder accounts. The payments exceeded the recorded short position in the company. It is therefore clear and unequivocal that there is a non reported short position in 8000inc which we believe could be detrimental to the company and shareholder value.
Why do they neglect to mention the indisputable fact that that "payment" was immediately cancelled, and that it showed ONLY in Etrade accounts? Oh yes, and that the dates and figures did not correspond to the pay date and amount of the cancelled EIGH divvy?
And does the company not understand that even IF a dividend had been paid by a "third party", as they put it, there would be no indication of that in the shareholder's account? There'd merely be a payment.
All of the above suggests that shareholders in EIGH are dealing with rank amateurs.
Amateurs who continue to advise prospective buyers to consult the company's non-existent SEC filings.
