OT: Ok, I am back from the hunt. 6 of us went out in hopes of getting an elk. 6 of us came back with elk.
Great hunt! One shot through the neck with the 338 mag. Had to drag it for a mile or more. I am sore. Thank god my son Eric was there to help me drag it.

Could have shot a nice BIG bull later in the day - but- he will be that much bigger next year and I already had one for this year. He had no idea where we even were. Would have been a great shot!
