SANTA CLARA, CA (Oct 13, 2004) — Solid Data Systems, the leading manufacturer of solid-state disk appliances, today launched an online store as well as an updated website, in order to directly sell its solid-state disk (SSD) products over the Internet. The online catalog promotes the company's new low-cost SSDs, and does not currently include the broad line of SCSI and Fibre channel products. The new eCommerce presence is intended to serve the needs of mid-market and Enterprise workgroup customers who have clearly identified system issues where an SSD can improve performance.
