I cannot tell you the mechanism, but I can make a few educated guesses. The first guess is that the MM's are accumulating most of the stock. It appears they have accumulated about 13.5B of the shares dumped, about 2.5B have been absorbed into the market and about 2 Billion were already in the market on June 11 when this thing started. So the question is if they wish to become approximately 10% owners each for an "investment" of about 140K each (equity) as a fallback position for being able to possible sell those shares for double or triple their money.

Another possibility is this "NEW" JV Group, if it exists. What a good way to take over 90% the company for $1.5M?

The real question is the mechanism that was (is) being used to accomplish the dump. All good questions for Lanza, and he isn't talking to us (except for blowing PRs up our tails). And I agree with you that if this deal is done as they imply it is, why not let us in on the dirty little details?
