Yianni, I just called my broker again (TD Waterhouse) and got the details. I had them confirm if W-8ECI or W-8BEN was required and they were clear about filling out the W-8BEN form, I would assume they know which ones they require for things to process properly.

He said that W-8ECI form was for if I was conducting business in the United States, but since I am in Canada, and indirectly conducting business, W-8BEN is more suitable.
