Fire Lane...read The Big Short. There are flaws in all agencies. The Big Short will tell you about how there were flaws in the way Moody's rated subprime mortgages and CDOs. A few people saw this flaw in the ratings and robbed Goldman, Credit Suisse and many others for millions and millions of dollars. If credit agencies can have flaws, there is no reason that FINRA can and does have flaws in the way it accounts for shorts.
