Weigh a gallon bucket of dry sand, and then weigh a bucket of mud. Let the mud dry out, then weigh it again. It's not rocket science. Water mixed with sand will weigh considerably more than the same dry amount of sand. Now, the ratio will change as they drain, & stack more, & so on, but fact is water will account for most of the alleged 1000lbs. Especially if the container is sealed up, you know, to prevent folks from jacking the gold & silver...
