Yes, I was at the conference...

I will put it as succinctly as I can: The NSA is all in for Trusted Computing. All in.

They want the Trusted Computing Group's technologies and protocols to be widely deployed and used... because they see them as critical to protecting the country.

The NSA is the premier cryptology organization in the world. Google turned to them for counsel and guidance after Google was hacked. The excellent HAP video that was shown at the conference was actually based on the Aurora attack on Google by the Advanced Persistent Threat. The only part that was left out was the social engineering and fake email from what appeared to be a Google colleague... that began the whole thing.

You know... just speaking from a technology validation standpoint... if any somewhat technical Wave investor had been present at the conference, they would have left with one overriding impression:

"The technology vision I'm invested in... is the one that the NSA believes in as well."

It was all there in the conference: attestation, turning TPMs on, new applications for TPMs (over 162 notecards with application ideas were generated by audience members...), Trusted Network Connect, the connection between SCAP (pronounced "S-CAP") and Trusted Computing. And Wave? Widely regarded as the "go-to guys" in industry for TPM and SED Management.

And had PwC not presented... there would have been no industry example of a large-scale TPM implementation. The NSA was very glad to have that particular presentation at the conference.

That's all I'm gonna say about the conference. Wave competitors read this thread.

Best Regards,
