gfp: My primary 'advisor' has grown increasingly bearish as well, but how long can the market stay propped up? If Bernanke unleashes QEII on Tuesday we could see the S&P go as high as 1250, because a move above 1131-1133 with volume will cause more short side capitulation. I'm torn. The indicators I look at are screaming "correction overdue". I was almost ready to capitulate myself when we briefly rose above 1131 earlier today. Either I go to cash briefly or I perhaps shift more $$$ into VXX which has a better risk/reward ratio than my other short plays at this point in time. I'm on the fence. The last time I was this discouraged about my positioning was in April....perhaps I am my own best contrarian indicator.
