DANIEL KENNEDY
Daniel has eighteen years of experience in business development , business consulting, tax planning and tax compliance. Prior to joining BioCen Natural Products Development Group (BNPD), he has held a position as a Chief Financial Officer and Controller positions for a number of consulting and asset management firms in Michigan and California. These positions provided him vast experience in working through a merger of two regionally-based consulting firms, identified business opportunities, cost controls and concerns with the ability to develop appropriate strategies for each, implementation of staff performance measures including but limited to multi-divisional income statements and other performance matrix's.
Further, while Mr. Kennedy work for the 12th largest Certified Public Accounting firm in the U.S., he developed extensive financial, tax and business consulting experience for the dynamic middle-market companies ranging in sales from $10M to $2B. He was the lead accountant for special projects that included bankruptcy assistance, valuations, bank financing, tax planning and research, job costing and projections. His team motivating skills and mentoring help steer his staff through many complex and challenging special projects, audits, reviews and compilation engagements.
Overlapping with these positions, he successfully ran a private accounting and tax consulting firm focusing on tax compliance and accounting services for individuals and small business throughout Michigan.
Early in Mr. Kennedy's career, he worked closely with Ford Motor Company's $6B defined contribution plan through his employment with Comerica Incorporated, obtained a Master of Science in Taxation at one of the leading private tax programs available in the U.S., and obtained a CPA license.
