His public service credentials include serving on the ethics boards for both the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and the Alaska Society of Public Accountants. He also served on the Alaska State Board of Accountancy, the regulatory body for CPAs. He is also an active community volunteer.

Janet C. Kennedy has been in the public accounting field since 1984. She grew up in Alaska and graduated from UAA in 1983. She worked in the tax department of one of the national CPA firms in Anchorage from 1984-1986. Since then she has worked as a tax and accounting professional in the greater Wasilla area.

Janet and her husband, Dan F. Kennedy, also a CPA, have a family goal of together serving their clients and customers. Kennedy & Co.
