Regardless of that they still need to take some of the pressure off drillers re diverting overboard. On the Lexington they had already closed the rams and thought they had killed the well. That little bit of gas trapped in the BOP was what caused the mayhem once it got loose into the riser above the BOP and started the expansion process. If they had diverted overboard there would have been no problem. On the Horizon, had they diverted overboard they would have had more reaction time and I am sure would have solved the problem.
