Not to downplay the calamity that day John

...but I was a world away when it happened up on the west coast of BC hooking up to a fish camp that was returning for winter. First planes had hit the towers as they struck the satellite dish for the trip back to Vancouver. It was three days before we got any radio or tv, (mostly radio) and all the CBC could muster was introspection from a psychologist about grief !!!??? We still weren't certain what had happened a week later!

Talk about frustrating with no news just grief counselling I thought this is just great our national newscaster playing directly into terrorists hands just what Osama had planned for, exactly!!!! grrr I wasn't feeling at ease with our public broadcaster I can assure you but radio has a quality of looking through the pictures tv brings and directly addressing the meat and potatoes of the event. Radio couldn't prepare me for the graphic nature of those planes impacting the towers though I was still incredulously fixated on box cutters!
