Working in NY, I was witness to the whole awful event.
I'm in the commercial Group Insurance business, and lost friends and colleagues who worked for AON, an Insurance Broker on the 97th floor of the South tower. Was also privy to the challenges of paying death claims for employees of Euro Brokers, where just about everyone died. Most employers keep their own employee beneficiary records, but when all records are destroyed, you can imagine the complexities involved in trying to establish who the rightful beneficiaries are.
I commend Identa for their research, and the work they have put into developing their products to help stave off terrorism and illegal drug abuse and trafficking. At times, I know that I seem to have a cavalier attitude, but the reason why I invested here in the first place was because I believed in the products and the good they can do. Identa may still be in the struggling start up stages of finding their nitch in this market,(IMO) but for the benefit of everyone I hope IDTA will find great success, and in the process make the world a better place.
