See thats where we differ. I prefer a sound that has realism, not 'warm and natural' (yeah right) sounds that someone else decided to shove down my throat. I have many copies of albums on both vinyl and CD, mostly I prefer the vinyl copy. Many sounds that can be heard on the record dont even show up on the CD. Why? Because someone has chosen to 'subdue' them (for lack of a better term).
CD's have their place. I have hundreds of them. Here's question you may be able to answer, since you brought it up. How do they get that distortion on the CD then? EG; I have 2 copies of Boston's 3rd Stage (one mine and my wife also had a copy when we met) on CD and BOTH are terribly distorted. Yet my vinyl copy of the same album is not. Also have a U2 CD that is distorted.
I would appreciate any reasoning you could have for that. Email me at seidi_test@hotmail.com so we dont get arraigned for being too off topic.
